What I'm reading now (or when I last updated the page, anyway :p )
Dangerous Men & Adventurous Women: Romance Writers on the Appeal of the Romance by Jayne Ann Krentz (editor)
- Curiously enough I stumbled across a specialist Romance Novel bookstore just at lunch today. I think I'm going to have to go back, because I never would have thought I could be so phased by a bookstore. It's just so different.
My Sentimental Favourites
- Cyrano De Bergerac by Edmond Rostand
Love, fencing, poetry... alright, I'm a sentimental sucker... :)
- The Rose and the Ring by William Makepeace Thackeray
Love, magic rings, executions, wars.... all in a Christmas pantomime.
And in no particular order:
- The Structure of Magic - Vol I (Bandler et al)
No, not occultism. This is a book on linguistics used in psychotherapy.
- Darkly Dreaming Dexter and Dearly Devoted Dexter by Jeff Lindsay
The books that are the basis of the rather deviant Dexter crime drama. It's a bit like crossing Miss Marple with Hannibal Lector.
- The Complete Book of Rules by Ellen Fein and Sherrie Schneider
I think this comes under the "Know Your Enemy" category. I have to admit that this book actually has some quite good advice, at least for women who like to maintain a Jane Austenesque outlook on courtship...
Just in!
The Book of Enoch The Prophet by Richard Lawrence (translator)
This is one of the apocryphal books associated with the Old Testament. It's going straight to the Pool Room.
